Step inside.

Espresso is the family's only shop outside Amsterdam, on the Rondweg in Mijdrecht. It is a light, open building — wide windows front and back, so the shop and the street look onto each other. It is also the greenest of the five: solar panels on the roof and a system that reuses its own water. It is the only coffeeshop for miles, and alongside people from Mijdrecht and the wider De Ronde Venen it also sees visitors from Utrecht, Woerden and Alphen aan den Rijn.

The seven house rules.

These house rules apply at Coffeeshop Espresso and at all five locations. Visitors must be 18+ with valid ID.

IEntry is permitted only to persons aged 18 and over, upon presentation of a valid form of identification.
IINuisance or misconduct — aggression, discrimination, excessive noise, littering and/or improper parking — is not tolerated and may result in an entry ban.
IIIThe possession, use, and sale of hard drugs are strictly prohibited and result in an immediate entry ban.
IVReselling our products to minors and possessing more than 5 grams per person are strictly prohibited and result in an immediate entry ban.
VPurchasing a drink or other refreshment is mandatory. Bringing or consuming your own food or drinks is not permitted.
VICustomers may not remain in the shop for longer than 2.5 hours.
VIIAll shops are equipped with security cameras. Recordings are stored and, when necessary, provided only to the police.
