The ADM free state is one of the last large live/work communities of Amsterdam. At the moment some 125 people reside at this wonderful and slightly rough terrain. Amongst them are theater-makers and stage-builders, inventors and technicians, dancers and musicians, crafts-men and women and those who just choose to live and think in an alternative way.
Sadly, ADM is under threat due to commercial plans. To offer support to ADM, sign the petition!
Travelling in Amsterdam by public transport is straight-forward and convenient. On the many trams and busses of Amsterdam, you can buy one-hour tickets. When you’re crisscrossing through the city for more than one day, this can be a bit expensive. In this case we advise you to buy the public transport chip card (in Dutch: OV-chip card), which you can buy and upload at the Central Station and in most tobacco stores.
